How to Upload Audiobook on Disctopia

Audiobooks have experienced the highest year-over-year growth in the last three years. Everyone wants to experience the advent of audio; that's why the audiobook industry is worth nearly $3.5 billion. 

If you'd like to be a part of the audiobook market, here's how to upload audiobooks to Disctopia; 

Step One

1. Login to your Disctopia account. 
2. Click on My Library, Then click on Upload, and choose Audiobook.
3. You need to start the upload process by uploading the audiobook cover. Ensure it is in line with the specified pixel and aspect ratio. 3000 x 3000px (1:1 aspect ratio) for square covers, and 2,560 x 1,600 (1.5:1 aspect ratio) for vertical covers. 
4. Next is to input the Book Title.
5. Then, the Subtitle, and choose whether it's Fiction or Non-Fiction. 
6. You will also have to set the visibility status. You can set it as Unlisted or Public. 
7. Next, you will need to state whether it's part of a series or not. If it's a series, you need to provide the series name and book number in the series. 
8. Click Save & Continue

Step Two

Here, you will be providing additional metadata for the Audiobook; 

1. Provide an adequate description of the Audiobook being uploaded
2. Then, you may decide to upload additional materials in PDF. '
3. Next is the Publisher's name. 
4. The authors of the books and the narrators. 
5. You will also need to state whether it's Abridged or unabridged. 
6. Then the language of the Audiobook. 
7. Specify if the book has gotten any awards 
8. Next is to provide the BISAC Code and the Secondary BISAC from the dropdown
9. You will also need to provide keywords and the Grade Level of the Book from the dropdown
10. Up next is the ISBN Information
11. Then click Save and Continue

Step Three

You will need to up provide the release date and copyright information; 

1. You must disclose whether your Audiobook has been previously uploaded on other platforms. 
2. Then, the release date and the street date. 
3. You will need to also provide the copyright year, the source copyright owner, the audio copyright year, and the audio copyright owner. 
4. Then click "Save and Continue."

Step Four

This is where you will have to specify the pricing and distribution; 

1. You will need to specify if it's stream only or Free. 
2. Then enter the List Price.
3. You need to also disclose whether it's explicit content and if it's safe for Kids. 
4. Then click "Save and Continue." 

Step Five:

You will be uploading the original Audiobook; 

1. You need to upload the opening credits and the Audiobook
2. Then the chapters and the ending credits
3. Lastly, the retail sample. All of these files must be in Mp3 formats
4. Then click "Save and Continue."
